Apple fans are losing their minds over one particular video feature that they’ve been waiting ‘17 years' for.
One user revealed that they ‘couldn’t believe’ their eyes when they spotted the feature on their phone.
There has been a buzz around new Apple updates since the tech giant revealed major announcements during its ‘Glowtime’ event earlier this week.

The new iPhone 16 was introduced along with more detail about the upgrades that will come with iOS 18.
There are plenty of handy new features for users to get excited about, including display customization, call recording and transcription.
Siri will also have the capability to edit pictures, send them to a contact or condense notes into an email - all with just a single voice prompt.

But there is one simple feature that has caught a lot of people’s attention.
Posting on Reddit, one user shared that they had spotted a pause button while recording a video on their iPhone.
In the post, they wrote: “I couldn’t believe my eyes, first time I saw it. This was my biggest annoyance with iPhone camera of all time.
“My Nokia 6233 from early 00’s had that pause button, my first android Sony Ericson from 2011 had it too, and literally any phone on the market since then, except for iPhone.

“Whenever I brought it up in front of my iPhone fanboys friends (I just moved to iPhone a few months ago from decade+ using Android) they’d say something along the lines of ‘who needs to pause video recording, just record a new one’ which is ridiculous, because there are many instances when one wants to capture a few moments with small intervals in between them, and getting many separate video clips, instead of one is not great at all.
“And we all know that nobody goes and edits them together afterwards… Anyway, finally a welcome (((innovation))) from Apple lol.”
The small tweak to the video recording function on the iPhone seems to have done wonders for fans, with some taking to the comment section to share their reactions.

One user wrote: “It took only 17 years for them to introduce this feature. How cool is that!”
Another said: “I wish we could also flip cameras mid recording.”
A third person added their own request, saying: “This and simplification to send video messages in iMessage similar to snap and FB messenger.”
And a fourth commented: “Apple as usual persistently technologically behind the competition in the software department.”
