Apple users are excited for what iOS 18 will bring.

The new Apple iOS 18 will make the iPhone more like an Android than ever with a new feature they’ve been waiting for.

The heated contest between Apple and Android has had people arguing for years.

If you’re team Apple, you might think it’s the sleek design of the iPhone that makes it a superior model but if you’re on the side of Android, you might dispute the camera quality.

Either way, Apple’s announcement means that the phones are becoming more similar than ever before, adding in a new feature for iOS 18 that Android already benefits from.

In the event on June 10, Apple revealed that one of its biggest updates yet will allow apps and widgets to be moved around on the screen.

This means no more rows or columns for an organized and orderly screen, for iOS 18, app icons can be placed anywhere on the screen to create a unique layout.

You’ll also be able to put your icons into dark mode or tint them with a color of your choice.

Of course, after news of the update broke, Android users were quick to tease iPhone fans, sharing their thoughts on social media, with one writing: “Welcome to 2015, I guess.”

Another joked: “Congratulations to Apple for being 10 years behind Android.”

Still, Apple users seem excited by the update, and another exciting new feature is Apple Intelligence.

The company's version of their own AI is considered ground-breaking and Apple’s chief executive, Tim Cook, said: “It can access that information in a completely private and secure way to help users do the things that matter most to them.

“This is AI as only Apple can deliver it, and we can’t wait for users to experience what it can do.”

What other features are coming with iOS 18?

Other new features include a Siri revamp. The virtual assistant is set to become the ultimate pocket AI, who will be able to do much more than before including things like move a file between folders, edit a photo, summarize an article for you and open a particular news site on Apple News.
