An Apple user has revealed the controversial way in which they use their Apple Watch and it’s ‘ruining’ everyone’s day.

With the launch of the Apple Watch Series 10, people have been flocking to social media to give their reviews.

The new watch model was made available last month after being unveiled during the tech firm’s Glowtime event.

And there’s plenty to be excited about. The watch boasts an 18-hour battery life and a sleep apnoea feature, which is a condition that causes people to suddenly stop breathing during sleep, where the device can detect if the wearer is experiencing it.

However, when one man took to Reddit to share his own thoughts on the new product, he caused quite a stir.

The unnamed man posted a photo of his watch with the caption: “Loving the Series 10 so far.”

In the photo, he’s bizarrely wearing the watch around his leg instead of on his wrist.

Users were shocked to see how he was using it, with one person taking to the comment section to write: “Enough internet for today.”

Others shared their own reactions to the strange image, with another saying: “I called the police, they're on their way.”

A third wrote: “That is some thick ass wrist.”

And another said: “Thanks for ruining my day OP.”

Meanwhile, a fifth person joked: “Those home arrest tags have got a lot less bulky…”

Some seemed to wonder whether the original poster knew where the watch was meant to be placed, with one person writing: “You're supposed to wear it on your wrist.”

This prompted a reply from the person behind the controversy, who responded with: “No way.”

However, if you think you’re going to lose sleep wondering whether the man leaves the house with his Apple Watch strapped to his ankle, fear not - he’s cleared things up.

When one intrigued commenter asked: “Does it count steps better this way? Btw no joke, I know some nurses that use it around their ankle since they’re not allowed to wear things on their arms.”

The man replied with: “I can't tell you, I just did it to post this.”

Unfortunately, it does seem that some people do leave the house like this as one person recalled: “Sadly, I have seen people in the gym with it on their ankle lol. It really bugs me for no reason at all. Haha.”
